Fluttering and Flitting

I met Brooke at the opening of her show in Chandler and was very impressed with the vivid abstract rich paintings. I picked my colors from a moment in time when I looked out my upstairs window up on Braintree Hill and say a startling flash of bright red among the vivid and varied greens of the spring foliage. It was a male rose-breasted grosbeak fluttering and flitting in the trees. I am daily inspired by the changing scenes of nature here in Vermont. I love the way images emerge from Brooke’s paintings. Fantastic!!
